About 27 Waterfalls

Discover the most exciting Natural Monument in Puerto Plata and the human team that makes this adventure possible.

A Natural Treasure in Puerto Plata

The 27 Waterfalls (Damajagua Waterfalls) are a system of 27 waterfalls and natural pools located in the municipality of Imbert. This paradise remained hidden from mass tourism until the late 90s, when local residents began organizing guided expeditions to share the beauty of their environment.

In 2004, due to its great ecological value and biodiversity, the area was declared a Natural Monument, becoming part of the National System of Protected Areas of the Dominican Republic. Since then, the site is managed under a co-management model involving the Ministry of Environment and the community's Tour Guide Association.

Our mission with 27waterfalls.org is to provide you with the clearest, most honest, and up-to-date information so you can enjoy this natural wonder safely and responsibly.

If you need personalized guidance before your visit, email us at info@27waterfalls.org. We'll be happy to help.
